Earlier this month we were contacted by the OSPCA to assist with more than 200 rabbits they removed from a single property in Sudbury. We rallied our supporters and did our best to secure as many foster homes as possible. On June 27th we took 25 of the bunnies. We received 24 females and one boy. The bunnies are of all kinds: dwarf and lop, babies and adults, whites, browns, and spotted.
Each rabbit will be spayed (and one neuter!) and all are being treated for upper respiratory infections and skin issues. Because we do not know a lot about the background of these animals, we expect other issues may arise and a few seem worse off than others. The financial impact of this care will be considerable
