Misty is a gorgeous two-year old sheltie. She came to us urgently this week when her owner was not able to provide desperately needed medical care. When we were contacted Misty was peeing blood, unable to hold her bladder and was most certainly in a lot of pain. Misty was surrendered to us so that she could receive the care she needs.
Misty went directly to our vet for assessment. We suspected she could have a bladder stone. Potential surgery was pre-booked so that she could immediately get the care she needed. X-rays revealed a huge bladder stone – so large that it essentially took up her entire bladder. We can only imagine how terrible Misty was feeling.
Misty underwent surgery the same day to remove the nasty bladder stone. Misty is recovering well and, we’re sure, feeling much better already. In addition to this surgery Misty has also received all the standard vet care to get her up-to-date: vaccines, flea treatment, heart worm testing and prevention.
