Shae arrived in our care last week after suffering an injury to her eye. With the help of a supporter, we were able to get her to the Ontario Veterinary College quickly for assessment. It’s very important that exotic animals see veterinarians who have specialized in their care. On Friday she had surgery to remove her injured eye. She is now back in Kingston and is doing very well.
We started Kingston Animal Rescue out of a desire to help animals that often do not get the care they need and deserve. If Shae had gone elsewhere her outcome may have been very different. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to give Shae the second chance she so deserves.
