In November 2013, Styx played a concert at the K-Rock Centre and invited us to participate in a fundraising raffle during the event. They sell tickets for a signed guitar raffle with partial proceeds going to the invited charity (us!) and the rest going to their Rock to the Rescue foundation.

We had a blast! In true Kingston Animal Rescue style we raised double the amount expected: a whopping $6,330. 25% went to the rescue, so we walked away with $1,500+ raised in just a few hours. Thank you to Rock to the Rescue Executive Director Hannah Shaw, Styx and all the awesome volunteers who covered a lot of ground, climbed many stairs and burned a bunch of calories to help the animals. You guys rock!
