Meet Harper!

This energetic and handsome fellow came to us when his time was up at high kill pound in Montreal.

Harper is an extremely sweet and friendly guy who loves to hang out with his humans. He can often be found zipping around the house, playing with his kitty toys and has been in a foster home where he was happy to be friends with their calm dog.

He is also equal levels of laid back and independent - happy to curl up next to you on the couch. He is still very spry for his senior age and is happy to chat with you as well. He is happy to great anyone coming into the home and will request some bum and chin scratches for sure! And his soft coat will keep you coming back for more! He has a little bit of a cross eyed look that makes him extra cute!

Harper was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism but has since received radio-iodine therapy which has been successful! This means no life-long medication needed! He did test positive for Feline Leukemia Virus upon his arrival - this does prevent him from living with other cats that are not positive for this virus as it can be contagious. His viral load has remained very low and at times undetectable so has not required any extra treatment, just regular preventative care veterinary visits to ensure he is happy and healthy.

He has recently encountered some issues with constipation, which has been treated and he is now being maintained on Royal Canin Fibre Response dry food which can be purchased from your veterinarian. He doesn't seem to be a fan of many different types of canned food so you likely won't need to spend any money on that! But he does like a couple Temptations treats once a week as a treat!

Harper is neutered, vaccinated with his core & non-core vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for Feline Immunodeficiency virus.
